There you are! (Where we meet men)
****Try This New Site: Men Love Black Women!
Update: Went back to NYC in March for a little fun…Nice to go for pleasure and not due to family sorrow…Anyway I was so stoped to see BWWM and BW/AM etc couples EVERYWHERE…I had to be careful and avoid beaming at them from ear to ear (Lest they find me suspicious and get out mace…If you are a BW in an IR relationship in NYC and saw another BW wearing a black coat and lavender scarf with a stupid grin on her face…It was probably me)…
I enjoy visiting bars with a casual atmosphere and big screen TV’s to watch my racing…And there is nothing wrong with that, just don’t get your hopes up of meeting a plethora of quality men….Go to bars for drinks, socializing and watching the game…LOL…Also try to stay out of those ‘lil clubs which print those 5×7 fliers (Ladies free before 10pm)…They have a tendency to be low-class traps as well…Hey, if you’re just going with the girls or to celebrate someone’s birthday, fine…But know that it is what it is…Do not even THINK of meeting a prospect on that turf…Make it a point to be surrounded by those at or above your level…

-Museums
Attend gallery openings, art exhibits and other parties held there
-Wine tastings (Practice Safety)
-Sporting events…Pay attention to the quality of seating offered…Try tennis, racing and golf on for size
Exchange going frequently for getting good seats when attending
-Auctions
Art, classic cars and other high end items
The activities listed can also be found in your local free newspapers…Most of the time the publications can be found in front of the supermarket…
-Bookstores
-Charity events & Venues where volunteer time is available…Find your niche and use it to an advantage…Remember these organizations
often hold parties and other types of get-togethers for participants…Some local chapters to look into:

http://arabellaadvisors.com/pages/HIGO2009.html
The more popular organizations (And don’t forget a lot of expenses/gifts are tax-deductable…Another plus! Check with your financial services provider as always). The following are just some examples…Select the cause(s) which you’re passionate about!
1. ASPCA or any animal rescue league
2. American Heart Association
3. Relay For Life
4. Libraries
5. Military/Veteran Interests -Ex: VFW Lodges, activites on base open to civilians
6. Hospitals -Check their website for any community interests
Those who help others tend to be more emotionally mature and well-rounded
-Adult education classes (art, chef/cooking, also think male oriented subjects, auto repair, computers, how-to-build-widgets, etc)
Honorable mention:
-Gunshows
-Car Shows
*Get on the mailing list(s) to keep abreast of events
**Ask for “help” frequently as an ice-breaker (Even if one has a good inclination of the answer…Doesn’t hurt to engage others for different perspectives and make new friends)
Suggestions: Do the aforementioned along with a personal ad…Adding these layers will help with rusty social skills
***Readers please feel free to add to this list accordingly

“Black Women & Self-Help Books” A Double-Whammy When You’re Already Typecasted
The real deal about “ISSUES”
CTS- Consider The Source
There are some things we need to reconcile BEFORE THE NEXT DATE…Hopefully this entry will get your mind right and eliminate all the debris that’s been collecting…I also hope to relieve Black women out there of the unnecessary preoccupation with what ‘we’ve been told’….
To those who have read more than 3 self-help books: YOUR MIND HAS BEEN CLUTTERED! And if you have been exposed to the Black Community Machines doctrine : YOUR MIND HAS BEEN CLUTTERED! Notice I didn’t say ‘Your mind is bad’ nor did i say ‘YOU are bad’…It is just overloaded with a lot of unnecessary information designed to serve someone else…

Another good place is ballroom social dancing. The ballroom world is full of nice guys
Just be sure to get yourself appropriate shoes, or else your feet will hate you, lol…
Congratulations on your new site. I am just trying to finish my first novel, but I will definitely join.
I receive Essence for free. They have a couple of columns devoted to relationships. One advice column is written by a “man.” Another column asks the opinion of the man on the street.
I never read these articles. I do find their existence in this magazine irritating. I’m thinking, “Don’t black women knock themselves out enough chasing after half-rate guys? What more do they want?”
It’s cruelty. There aren’t enough suitable bm for bw, and they never talk about it. They never go outside that little ghetto of a tiny portion of men (only BMW) they think all their readers want.
It’s fine, important and critical for a woman to make herself attractive, inside and out, but that has to be for herself first. At the end of the day, a makeover could turn into learning to act like another person just to be attractive. Well, at some point the real “you” will appear.
(I would like to join a Primal Scream club, once a week / month would do fine.)
@BC
I’ll start AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL
@Valerie & Others
No..This isn’t my site…However doesn’t hurt to give it a whirl!
BC & Others
Empowered BW should also put publications such as Essence, Ebony, Upscale Trash With Money (or whatever it’s called) out of business…

Hi all,
I have enjoyed messages on this board and others about IR dating in the 21century. But, what is going on today as it relates to health care issues and the election of our first AA president has left a bitter pill in my mouth about dating WM. Many are showing there true colors. After reading the many articles on dating others non-black males, here back again I turn on the my TV and to listen to non-black males concocting lies about the truths of this Health care mess. I am confused to say the least. For a person like me hearing all the wonderful news about dating non-black males(esp.whites) but then hear other side to their story turns my stomach. I tell you WM will how to do a lot convincing me on this IR dating. I know many WM will say I don’t think that way but many of you are not standing up to defend the rights of your so called black woman rights to decent health care. If we not healthy to share all this beautiful love, well we wouldn’t be here to give you all this chocolate love that you are caving for. Thank for allowing me to post.
Ms. Foxy
