One Of The Many Reasons Why I Call The “Black Community” False….

Black women must find their own voice and speak out.  Until we become our own advocates, no one else will.  Institutions like the NAACP and so-called leaders like Rev. Sharpton have proven that they will allow BW to be thrown under the bus.  I cannot add much more than what has been already said. Enough is enough!

Step Right Up, Step Right Up….There’s Something For Everyone On The ‘Internets’

Posted by C W on March 18, 2008

I love you all and wish everyone would just live and let live.  Even in the  IR world, there is something for every Black woman at different stages of her journey.  Not everyone is going to be at the same place, at the same time.  We grow, mature and move on at different intervals.  I know that for me,  everyday is a learning process.  Every post whether written or read is a teaching tool.  What I try to get across is that we all have a valuable contribution.  I can get befriend anyone that believes “Black Women Deserve Better” -Even if they do not endorse dating outside of their race.  Otherwise, it’s just a matter of personal style.  Sometimes…Another blogger can explain the situation better. There is nothing wrong with one blogger giving hope while another keeps the BW grounded in reality. One blogger will have see the glass half full, the other half-empty. We have IR BW bloggers at all junctions: married, single, novice to the IR world, curious, apathetic and engaged. The single ones perhaps romanticize marriage….The married ones tell us real life still goes on. SO?We gleam the nutrition necessary in the field provided. You lovely lady (and gentlemen) bloggers have enhanced my life greatly.  Evia, Halima, Sara, Grata, Yan Momma, C1, Harry Potter, Authur, Siditty, ABC, Jeff, Gina, Roslyn,Forensic Mommy BW 1st & others have taught me to think outside of the box.

Here are some inane ramblings….My thoughts:

1. Black Women Deserve Better!

2. Some days I want to rip into DBRBM (Turn left here)

3. Other days I want to oogle hot non-BM (Turn Right there)

4. Yes I have experienced hurt, but do not want to carry that into future relationships. However, I believe in the philosophy of staying “in the game”, continuously meeting and relating to people. The longer you’re on the sidelines, the more difficult it will be to resume interpersonal relations.

5. I want a better world for young Black girls

6. I want Black women to find love no matter what color he is

7. Some days I just don’t know what to say

8. Other days I just don’t wanna talk about it

9. I get sick of dating quite often

10. On the other hand I am grateful for at least 75% more dates since expanding my options

11. At the same time I realize this isn’t an overnight process. Rome wasn’t built in a day

12.I often wonder why does it have to be so hard

13. I give myself a pep talk and keep stepping

14. In the end…It will be worth it!

15. 9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB!

An Excellent Reason For Not Accepting Responsibility As A Father….

Posted by C W on March 13, 2008

” ‘I won’t see my daughter because Mel B tricked me into having a baby’, says Eddie Murphy”

Good! The Judge and Little Angel Iris will be satisfied with that one *WINK*

Eddie Murphy has revealed the real reason he doesn’t want to have anything to do with his 11-month-old daughter Angel by Spice Girl Mel B – because he believes she trapped him into having a baby.

The Nutty Professor star claimed 32-year-old Mel insisted she was on birth control, and revealed they only had sex three times, according to a US report.

“What was supposed to be a casual relationship ended with her having his baby and taking him to court for millions,” a source told The National Enquirer.

I wonder how Tracey is doing these days….

A great take on this this topic by
    “Dear Black Man”

One comment reads as follows: http://www.dearblackman.com/full_story_talk.php?subaction=showfull&id=1213583696&archive=&start_from=&ucat=38

I’ve got a thought for everyone to ponder. . .

Let’s say you are the child of an out-of-wedlock coupling and raised by a single mother. Your dad walks off. As you grow up, are you going to be angry at your mother who made the mistake of getting involved with a “bad man” when she was young, but who still provided for you, fed you, clothed you, loved you and tried her best to give you a good life by herself?

Or are you going to be angry at your lazy, piece-of-sh** daddy for choosing not to be involved in your life?

Yes, many young women need to make better choices with whom they lay down with. But after the child is born, that is a moot point. A baby needs care from BOTH parents. Walking off on your child is a far worse moral crime than making a poor choice in a mate is.

In most cases, children of single parents are mostly angry at the absent parent. They couldn’t care less what transpired between their parents years ago. They’re angry at the parent who wasn’t there for them.

My point is that paying child support and being involved in your kid’s life is a CHOICE, plain and simple. It is not the mother’s fault (or father’s fault, in the case of single fathers) if you CHOOSE not to do this.

But understand that later in life the child will likely hate YOU, not the parent who laid down with you.
